Our Team
Michael Smith
Lead Pastor
Michael has served as a credentialed minister since 1994, and was ordained by the Assemblies of God in 1997. He is a graduate of North Central University in Minneapolis Minnesota holding a bachelors degree in Pastoral Studies and a Music Minor. Michael was married in 1995 to Kimberly and together they have 4 children.
Michael is a passionate communicator and visionary leader on a quest to develop passionate followers of Jesus Christ. Michael is an experienced coach (trained in ICF competencies), and a certified coach with the Assemblies of God.
He serves on the board for Gahanna Christian Academy (our K-12 school here at Pathway Church). He serves on the board for the Ohio National Day of Prayer.

Kelly Norris
Associate Pastor
Kelly has been serving in ministry since age 14 and has experience in many aspects of ministry including assimilation, children’s ministry and worship leader and has been involved in planting churches throughout Central Ohio. She has a heart to worship God not only with music but also with her life.
Kelly is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Music Education and has been credentialed through the Assemblies of God.

Matthew Roberson
Youth Pastor
Matthew graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and holds a bachelor's degree in Church Ministry as well as an associate's degree in Music and Biblical Studies.
Matthew and Kayla are devoted followers of Jesus Christ, and are committed to live a lifestyle that strives to emulate His divine example. Their desire is to fulfill the words that Christ taught His disciples to pray: "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Matthew and Kayla are excited to see the kingdom of God built up in Gahanna, Ohio.

Carmen Preston
Children's Pastor
Pastor Carmen started working with children at the young age of 13 and started working in the inner city of Toledo at the age of 17. She graduated from Owens Community College in 1997 with an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and is bi-vocational. She is a certified minister through the Assemblies of God. Pastor Carmen says, "I stand in awe of all the things my Father in heaven can, is and will be doing in these children's lives."

Janet Norris
Administrative Assistant
Janet Norris has attended Pathway Church for 30 years, and she just celebrated 22 years of service at Pathway Church. She serves with her husband, Dennis. “We’re excited to be a part of what God is doing at Pathway Church in reaching our community for Christ.”

Dennis Norris
Facilities Manager
Dennis recently celebrated 25 years of service in the Maintenance Dept. of Pathway Church and Gahanna Christian Academy and has also attended Pathway for over 30 years with his wife, Janet. Janet and Dennis have been married 40 years.
